How It Works

Weighted Grades

Each assignment or exam has a weight representing its share of your final course grade (all weights in a course should sum to 100%). Your current grade is calculated only from graded items, normalized by the total weight already graded. Ungraded items are shown as pending and excluded from the current average.

What You Need

For each course with a target grade set, the tracker calculates the average score required on all remaining (ungraded) items to reach that target. If the needed score exceeds 100%, the target may be out of reach with the remaining work.

GPA Projection

Letter grades are assigned based on your current percentage, then converted to GPA points on either a standard (A = 4.0) or plus/minus (A+ = 4.3) scale. Semester GPA is the credit-hour-weighted average of all course GPA points.

Tip: Set a target grade for each course to see exactly what average you need on remaining work. Weights do not need to sum to 100 to get a current grade estimate, but the "needed" calculation assumes remaining weight equals 100 minus your graded weight.
